How to exclude swim drill segments from avg pace calculations in tp?

I have a garmin fenix 3 that I track all of my workouts with. When I complete a swim workout, I can go to garmin connect and see my average pace for the workout. There are 2 numbers there. One is average pace, which is the average pace per 100yds for the main swim sets, which is in my case will be freestyle lengths. This is a fairly accurate representation of the time it takes me to swim 100yds. There is a second number which is the total moving pace, which is just the total workout time divided by the number of yards completed. This is really a meaningless number as drill sets could be fast, slow, etc. so adding them in destroys the "avg pace" number. The problem is, once that data is uploaded to training peaks, the only pace number that carries over is the "total moving pace", so it appears that I am much slower per 100yds than reality. Now I can go to my garmin connect account and I know where the difference lies, but my coach or anyone else cannot see that. Is this the way it is for everyone? How can I remedy this?
