Apps, Data Fields, Watch Faces, Widgets

I just picked up the Fenix 3 about a week ago and I'm a bit unsure of some of the terminology. Specifically, when I go to the Connect IQ store there is 5 categories: New and Updated Apps, Popular Applications, Popular Data Fields, Popular Watch Faces, and Popular Widgets. I've looked through the manual and it doesn't help very much in explaining what these various categories are so perhaps someone can help me out here. The first two are apps, I get that, and Watch Faces make some sense, but what exactly are Data Fields and how are Widgets different than Apps? In summary, what would each category do that others do not?

CIQ Watchfaces are watchfaces - show the time, and often other stuff (date, steps, etc). It's what you'll see on the device most of the time,

Widgets are the "quick view" things on your watch - easy to access with a few swipes or button pushes. You'll see the calendar and notifcations there on many devices. They have a limited life, and run for at most a minute or two.

Apps are just like the sandard "run" would be on the watch and found in about the same place - they run until you stop them. Some will record an activity, while others do other things that you'll want to run a long time.

Data fields are for standard apps (like "run") and allow viewing more or different data in a standard app.

As far as the lists on the store, on the main page you'll see a list of the latest added or updated stuff (all types intermixed), for all devices. If you click on the f3, you'll see a breakdown of the different types of thing, but only for stuff that supports the F3.

On the main page, there is the "most popular" breakdown by type, and again, that's for all devices, and is based on things like the number of times it's been downloaded.
