590LM - Detail Map Not Changing Between Normal, More, Less Details

I just received my 590lm...had a 660 which I use now for work and the 590 for personal use on the motorcycle.....

On the 660 you could change the map detail in such a way that you could have 4 info items on the right hand side...like direction, miles to go, arrive time, speed.....on the 590 I change the map detail selection to normal, more or less and the map screen does not change thus it only allows the speed and arrival time on the bottom of the screen....what might I be doing wrong....
