I have an old etrex Legend that I used during last summer. it had been stored without the batteries for almost 2 months when I deceided to use it. When I wanted to use the thumb stick to navigate within the menus, it exhibits intermitent behavior. For example, the enter button would not work; other times the up, down, left or right directions would not work but the enter button would. I was finally able this morning to reset the unit. The thumb stick worked for a minute or so, then erratic behavior shown up again. since I have all the accessories that go with the Legend, I don't want to throw it away. I would like to try to clean the contacts, but I can't see any screws that would allow me to open the case. Is there any way to clean the thumb stick contacts?
