Synchronise courses / routes with Strava

Hello,

Is it possible to synchronise courses / routes (so not the activities) with Strava or the other way around (from Strava to Garmin Connect). I want to have the courses / routes in Strava and Garmin Connect identical like the activities.

I'd be interested to see if there's a slick way of doing this.

A mate shared a route on strava, but i had to export it as (i think) a gpx file. Then used "manual upload" into GC as an activity. Then find the activity, then save as a course. And for some reason it didn't work using an ipad and dropbox as the drive. What a struggle.

Life should be way slicker than this in 2015 !

EDIT: If someone creates a course on GC, makes it publicly available and then sends the link, this works fine. Since most cycle folk use garmin devices, i'm not sure why people don't just use GC to do the routes in the first place !
