Find Garmin Connect Users

Hi,

How do I find GC users near me? I want to start adding GC connections, but I have no clue if any of my social media friends even use GC. When I go to search in the app, it assumes I know the GC userid. But what if i don't even care if I know the user? I just want to make some connections with runners in my area so I can create groups or challenges. It would be nice if I could just connect with other runners that are of my similar ability and similar training styles. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. Just about any social website I belong too will search my contacts and facebook automatically. For example, when I joined Fitbit a long time ago, it gave me a list of Facebook friends that use Fitbit. Can't Garmin do this? A geographical search for GC users near me would be awesome.

You may try looking for recent activities near you location using segments page. Each activity will show the user ID of the runner. Otherwise, there is no way that I know of to look for GC users, you have…
