I'm still having connection problems with the server. The activities are not loading on my iPhone app. What should I do? I was hoping for an app update but still not available.

    iPhone app spinning and spinning

I'm still having connection problems with the server. The activities are not loading on my iPhone app. What should I do? I was hoping for an app update but still not available.

The new app on my iPhone just spins whenever I try to get to anything other than My Day. It's syncing with my Vivoactive but that's about all. I can see the Steps I walked today, but I can't click on steps to see the mileage, nor can I go to any other day. I'm in a contest "walking" across the country so I really need the distance, and I need it for a week at a time. This worked GREAT in the old app. Ever since the new app was trust upon me I have to really work to get the info I need. Then with the outage a few days ago it's been nothing but frustration. The website says everything is working now but my app is still struggling.
  • This is getting very frustrating! The web version of Garmin Connect still gives me the "Sorry, our site is temporarily down for maintenance.
Please check back soon." This has been going on for almost a week now. It is impossible to check the status link at the bottom of Garmin Connect because the page is completely blank except for the above message.

My iPhone app is not much better. While I can view information on the main (home) screen, that's pretty much all I get. When you click on anything to get additional data, I get the "Network Connection Error" message and "Some of your data could not be downloaded. Pull to refresh." Pulling down only reverts to the "Network Connection Error".

It would be nice to at least get some information on the update status.

+1 to the iOS app being effectively broken

Whatever maintenance was recently done broke the app, anybody know of a fix? Also having to use wifi sync just reminded me that the fenix 3 wifi sync issues have never been fixed.

Try steps below! I emailed garmin and this is their reply .

It sounds like you may be experiencing a network connection issue.

To resolve the network connection error you have described, please try the following steps:

Log out of the application (Menu – Settings – Sign out)
Force close the application (swipe up on the screen)
    Clear cache on the phone
Press and Hold both the Power and Home buttons at the same time
Release these buttons once the screen goes black and an Apple logo appears
Allow the phone to power on
    Re-open the application

I had been having trouble with the iOS app as well, similar issues as to what is described above. I ultimately logged out of the app, signed back in, and re-paired my vivosmart and it now works. Some of my past few days data was slightly off, but it appears to have been tracking, even though the sync function was not operating.

    Missing Data

I tried to sync my iPhone app last night unsuccessfully. It only downloaded the current days information minus my activities I performed that evening. I was only able to see the steps and active calories. I had not synced for over a week so I expected to have several days information available. This did not happen. I tried the steps indicated above and still was not able to get my data uploaded for Nov 9 - 17th. I even logged into the computer so see if all the data was uploaded but not showing on the app. There was not difference between either one. All the data was still missing.

What do I need to do in order to get this working? Even if I sync daily, the activities do not seem to be loading.

    Thanks,

    Wendy

Thanks! Solution helped with pairing vivofit2 to iPhone 6

I was having difficulty pairing my new vivofit2 with an iPhone 6. Wanted to let you know that the solution below also worked for pairing:

Log out of the application (Menu – Settings – Sign out)
Force close the application (swipe up on the screen)
    Clear cache on the phone
Press and Hold both the Power and Home buttons at the same time
Release these buttons once the screen goes black and an Apple logo appears
Allow the phone to power on
    Re-open the application
    Re-pair the device if necessary
    Now attempt to "pair"
