The facility you want doesn't seem to be available although it is an obvious thing to want!

You can get some useful distance/time data from splits/laps, either by using a preset lap distance or (and) by hitting the "lap" button/command at appropriate points in the activity. This does. of course, mean that you have to know what data you want before you start your activity!

    Try GC Classic

If you view your activity in Garmin Connect classic there is a 'Player' button at the top right. In the player you can move the cursor to any point in your run and read the time and distance. You can also add other values such as pace, heart rate, elevation etc to the display.

I don't know why we lost this in GC modern.

thanks guys for help. Classic might be a solution, but a bit pity that its not available in normal way, as it a mandatory thing to know: where, what time and how you was performing
  • Isn't the same button available in modern but placed toward the bottom center of the map? Classic is scheduled to disappear in a month.

There is a play button in Modern but you can only see distance data OR time data. What is required is both at once.
  • That's interesting.

I tried over distance in Modern and the icon wouldn't move.
Over time moved fine for me.

Just checked to make sure - the play facility in Modern works for time or distance for me.
  • 8 years later and Garmin dont want to fix this.^Miserable!

  • Assuming you have your device set to auto lap, you can see cumulative time using the "Laps" tab of the activity. Or are you looking for something different?

  • Yes, if you run a marathon you want to know when you passed the half marathon distance 21.1 not 21K. Now you can only choose time/pace or distance, not see both at the same time. But realized that on Strava you can see both, but it feels B to go that way when you have Connect to your expensive watch.
