Vivoki step data no longer accepted by Connect server

I'm using a Fenix 3 as well as a Vivofit2 to track my outdoor and gym activities. On top of that I have a Vivoki that I wear all day to track my steps. This setup was running fine for several month. 2 weeks ago I forgot my Vivoki when I left for the weekend and therefore switched the step monitoring from Vivoki to my Fenix 3. Everything was working fine with the Fenix 3 as step monitor, but when I tried to switch back to the Vivoki after the weekend, the Garmin connect server was no longer willing to accept the step data from my Vivoki.
The steps are still correctly synced from my Vivoki to my smartphone (Garmin Connect app for Android), but as soon as the app tries to sync the data with the Garmin server, the Vivoki steps in my connect app on the phone get deleted.
I can switch the step monitoring to the Fenix 3 as well as the Vivofit2 and everything works fine ... it's just the Vivoki step data that's not accepted by the server. E.g. when I sync 6000 steps from my Fenix 3 to the app, everything syncs fine to the server, but if I switch step monitoring then to the Vivoki and sync again, the 9000 steps of the Vivoki show up in the app until the app syncs with the server at which point in time the server remains at the 6000 steps from Fenix 3 and the app replaces the Vivoki data by the 6000 Fenix 3 steps on the server instead of syncing app and server to the 9000 Vivoki steps. If I do that with Fenix 3 vs Vivofit 2, both (app and server) correctly pick up the data of whatever is currently defined as the step monitor.
I already removed the Vivoki, Fenix 3 as well as Vivofit2 from my profile, re-installed the app and even tried with an iOS tablet ... nothing helps so far. Now waiting since 3 days for an answer from the support team. Any ideas ?
