Any 3rd Shift/Overnight workers out there?

Curious if anyone else works the overnight shift and what they have their sleep schedule set to. I currently have it set for my working sleep schedule but on my days off it will only record any sleep before midnight, so my sleep average is a lot lower than I think it should be. Is the only way to compensate for alternating sleep schedules is to manually active sleep mode or change it within the settings every time I need to do so?

  • Just make sure the change propagates to both sides (the watch and Garmin Connect User Settings in Device Settings). It happened to me already once, that I changed it on one side, and it got ovewritten back from the other side when syncing. I just do not remember which side I used.

  • Good suggestion. It does work when I slept in the day.

    But but 1 problem.

The pulse OX was not triggered. No Spo2 data recorded.

Check out your settings - I do not know what model you use, but there should be options for Sleep Tracking and All-Day Tracking. Possibly you need to change the setting. Please note that it may increase the power consumption. On some models, you can perhaps set up a hot-key for enabling/disabling the pulse oximetry manually, to control the power consumption better.

Have a look at the Pulse Oximetry FAQ for some more details.

  • I am using Vivosmart 4 now. sigh I have to change the sleeping time once in a while so that my sleep and Spo2 can be recorded.
