Is Garmin Connect down at the moment?

Hi

When connecting to https://connect.garmin.com/modern/ using firefox, I get the following response (inside the blue border):

    Breakdown lasting a very long time !

    Why talk about maintenance of site when it is quite clear server has gone down for serious issues !
    More than half a day already, sorry to say, not a great job...

    There was a message at the top of Garmin Connect (website) all week stating that there would be downtime for maintenance starting last night.

    It would be nice if they pushed it to the phone app since i don't go to website very day.

    I'm confused... is Garmin working on this problem or not?

    I just got my VivoSmart two days ago. I like the device, but it's useless if I cannot sync, so I have considered returning the device. Has this been a consistent issue with Garmin in the past, and is this what I should expect from them during my ownership of their product?

    There is no message on the Garmin Connect website, at least not any more, which would lead me to believe they are done with their maintenance, but I still cannot sync.

    It would be even NICER if they would join the year 2015 and make the app able to sync your device without needing a live connection to their backend website.

    Serious (fundamental) flaw in their design. Inexcusable for a large tech company.

    I just got my VivoSmart two days ago. I like the device, but it's useless if I cannot sync, so I have considered returning the device. Has this been a consistent issue with Garmin in the past, and is this what I should expect from them during my ownership of their product?

    There is no message on the Garmin Connect website, at least not any more, which would lead me to believe they are done with their maintenance, but I still cannot sync.


    I've had my vivosmart for almost a year and this is the first time I've ever encountered a prolonged issue like this. Usually there are no issues.

    Anyone else find the silence deafening

    At this point communications is key and well let's be honest you have to say something or write something to communicate to your customer base. Come on Garmin this is very poor. The 5.0 app release was poor, and it's now clear that your maintenance/patching server routine hasn't gone at all well as one of the last tweets stated it would only be a little while longer some 8+ hours ago.

    Keep the device it is fantastic and this problem is the first I have known in three years of using Garmin Edge and GC. Sync is not working at the moment so just need to hang in on there for it.

    I never go to the website. Unless there's a problem, of course. With the app, I don't need the website.
