Syncing with mapmyrun & privacy settings

I have garmin connect connected to mapmyrun. Whenever I do a new workout it defaults the run to private that only I can see it. How can I make it so it defaults to friends, so I don't need to update it manually?

I have default privacy settings set to everyone.

I have the same issue. It has not always been this way, this seemed to change about 3 months ago.
Not much luck with garmin connect help so far.

I've just noticed same problem - was fine until the last month or so - maybe since I updated my Forerunner 225?

I was having the same problem. My Garmin Connect setting was private, and my mapmyrun setting was friends. All my workouts were showing up as private in Mapmyrun.

I contacted mapmyrun support and was told the following:

"Thanks for writing. We recently updated our systems to make all imported workouts from Garmin appear 'private' if your settings in Garmin are anything other than 'public.' Please visit Garmin Connect and change your privacy settings to 'public' if you would like your workouts to appear to friends, or publicly, on your MMF account."

So I changed my Garmin Connect setting to public and sure enough my workouts now show up with the friends setting as I want.
