old Classic Garmin Connect it is possible to search activities

Hello Garmin

Unfortunately this is not what I am looking for…I will try to explain again what I am looking in the new Garmin Connect.

In the old Classic Garmin Connect it is possible to search activities, it is even possible to filter those by activity (hiking/cycling/etc..) for a specific area
Let say that you are planning to go hiking in a place you never been, You are looking for activities that people as done to help you to plan your next adventure

Once you see those different activities, you could pick on activity, then download it to your Garmin device.

Classic Garmin Connect
Explore
Activities

Scroll the area

Select
Filter
Activity Type that you want to see
Modified the Period
Search…

The Classic Garmin Connect will give a list a activities that match your criteria
From there you could download the activity to your device

Have you tried using the explore facility from the dashboard? In the Activities pane on the dashboard there is a magnifying glass icon. Clicking on it takes you to an "Explore" page that seems to provide the functionality that you want.
Show filters is not very obvious as it is pale grey in a small font in the upper right hand corner of the window and partly obscured by the "Home" dashboard link!

The part of my post after the first sentence describes how to proceed. Quote " In the Activities pane on the dashboard ......"

If the Activities pane is not visible on your dashboard you can add it as follows:

Click the three horizontal bars in the top left hand corner of the dashboard
Slide your cursor to the right until a popout appears from "Activities"
Click the "Add to dashboard" link at the top of the popout.
