I woke up one morning to find my fabulous Garmin app replaced with an app where I can't find anything. The type is so small I can't read it. I hate the black background. I couldn't find my challenges. It's so different from the original. Was that really necessary. Since I'm being forced to learn a new a new technology -- got no good reason. I'm exploring replacing my device with a non-Garmin with upgraded features. Some notice of the change would have been appreciated and the ability to opt in in my own time. And for heavens sake please provide the option for a lighter colored screen.
And it is not just the app they broke, but also my vivofit 2 no longer syncs my activities recorded using the HRM.... and they are not responding to my emails... guess what all this when they just released a new tracker with new HRM features....
I am beyond annoyed, an have been looking at non garmin devices...

Try going to the leaderboard icon on the bottom of your screen. Then click the connections drop down menu at the top of the screen. A menu with a challenges option should appear at the bottom of your screen. Yes, I know it's soooo user friendly and intuitive. Good luck.
How about "Garmin is sorry that in an effort to improve the app and your experience with Connect, we over looked the disprutiom that just forcing a completely new app, without any notice or lead up, would have on current users. In retrospect, it's wasn't the best plan and we will be more respectful of our customers when updating in the future." Something like an acknowledgement would be nice. Right now my trust is very low. Is using a Garmin device just going to be like this? How frequently can I expect an experience "upgrade"
And please, please, please get rid of the black.
If the font must be so small, please make the screens zoom screens so one can read the small numbers.
Sound u are on iOS, since it automatically updated your connect App. U need to set "automatically app updates" off, this way u could see the announcement first. Most people are very happy with the update, including me. And the people that aren't that happy usually can't handle changes in life very well ;)
