Some files failed to upload, you may want to remove them manually. Garmin 910xt

Hello,

I am desperately looking for help with this issue.
(yes I have tried searching for answer already)

I am having a "stuborn" activity file. Seems that it resides in my device Garmin 910xt and fails to sync. Every time I sync my activities I got a message saying "Error uploading file, you may want to remove the file from device manually". When closing the dialog sync starts over and the same message pops out.

Things I have tried so far:
1. Deleting Application Support\Garmin\ folder on my mac
2. Deleting all activities from my device
3. Removing/adding the device in Garmin Express
4. Browsed Logs folder, found a suspicious line (the timestamp matches my recent sync):

2015-10-22 22.33.06 (GMT+02:00) | 27431 | E | Failed to copy upload file /Users/xaxaxxa/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/RegisteredDevices/xxxxxxxxx/PendingSyncUploads/Activities/2015-08-01 10:30:06 +0000_433

it is followed by a bunch of type=I lines and

2015-10-22 22.33.07 (GMT+02:00) | 68683 | W | [SyncUpload-3887404579] Failed with error: Error Domain=RenuErrorDomain Code=204 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (RenuErrorDomain error 204.)" UserInfo=0x7f9b9044dd40 {01 Aug 2015 12:30=Invalid File}

Tried to locate file but it was not there.. created an empty file with exact name hoping to fool the uploader. No success, problem remains.

Any ideas how to get rid of the file/error?
