Can't remember now. It caused me that much stress yesterday. Think it was either Cycling or just Garmin Connect.

I have an Edge 500 which I recently purchased for £79.99 at Aldi as I didn't want to spend too much on my first Garmin.

So far the experience has been the most painful retail experience ever.

It might be an idea to have an appeal button or some information on how to connect admins or moderators once banned if this is to be a regular occurrence because of administrators not properly assessing a situation.

If you post a technical query, twice, as I did because I failed to read the part that said it will be reviewed and then posted then this obviously should not result in a ban.

Also, I'd like the original question resurrecting please. I spoke with a guy at Garmin UK yesterday for 47 minutes and he got the account unblocked again. I couldn't quite get my head around it but it seems the device was linked to an email which was actually a username and I used the same login for the forum. However, when I initially set it up it displayed my email address and I had to scramble around looking for how to change that as I didn't want my email on open forum where genuine spammers could pick it up.

So now it seems my login has changed to the beginning of the original email address for the device but my display name remains the same.

Hopefully from my display name, you should be able to find the original posts from around 8:30am - 11am yesterday from memory.

It related to Edge 500 and GSC10 in the title.

If it helps there actually was a spammer who posted yesterday and there is Hindi script in the title of their post and they posted either just after or just before me.

That sucks. So what do you have to do in NZ to get back on? Call up and moan? I couldn't find any link for appeal or to contact the admin.

Technically, we should be compensated for our time. I wasted around 2 hours yesterday. Typing the original question up. Then retyping it because I did not see why it was to be reviewed, trawling around to work out how to contact Garmin (in the end I gave up and telephoned Garmin UK - nowhere is this made clear) and now technically, I still may have to repost my original question if it cannot be resurrected.

I hope Garmin learn from this and also send me a healthy eVoucher for some serious discount off any Garmin Product should I choose to purchase anything else after this experience.

Back in the 1980's, we used Avocet for time trials. Two buttons, 3 readings, Speed, Time and Distance. It's all you needed and it was a simple beautiful piece of kit. These days, everything seems to be complicated.

I figured I'd give the Edge 500 a try to see what modern technology had to offer and so far I am seriously frustrated with the accuracy of the distance reading.

So far, not good.

I hope it improves.
