I did not managed to find an Etrex subforum if there is one, that's why I'm posting here.
Got an Etrex 30 for almost 2years now and since August the map downloaded and installed from velomap is distorted if I zoom in under 500m. At 500m the map looks exactly as it should, that means that roads are displayed as they should, but at 300m and less there is a distortion where the roads don't look as they should. Some disappear, and the map becomes a grey/white-ish distortion with only a few roads here and there displayed as they should be. Did a full reset or system restore and uninstalled the map, downloaded the latest version, installed again and still get the same distortion. There is no problem with the waypoints at any zoom level.
There is another Etrex 30 in the family bought last year and that one got no problems at all. Both Etrex 30 are used/connected on 2x different laptops. Tried to delete and install the maps on both laptops and still got the same problem. Can't really remember what was I doing with the GPS when the distortion 1st happened. Probably did a map update, or a firmware update.
Anybody got the same problem? Any ideas what should I do to get the maps displayed properly in lower zoom levels too?
Thx for any help.
