Please please please can someone help me - I've spent two hours reading various forums, disconnecting / reconnecting accounts etc - all to no avail. :confused:
Background:
I have a Fenix 3, with an Edge 520 arriving Monday. I want to get my starred Strava segments to appear in GC ready for the 520's arrival. My Strava Premium account has been linked to Garmin for months (logging in via e-mail to both accounts, no Facebook or Google account log ins)- no issues with syncing activities.
So far:
I started by going into Strava (to remove Garmin access), then going into Garmin (to remove Strava's access). Then I went into Strava, added the Garmin account then did a short (15 second) "fake run" on my Fenix 3 to make sure the accounts were linked and to force a sync between the two- all is well, the activity appears in both Garmin and Strava.
Segment's I've starred in Strava?? Nope.
Then I tried to star some new segments in Strava, do a "fake" run on my Fenix 3 - activity appears in Strava, no joy on the segments in GC.
Tried removing all starred activities in Strava (having noted them all down), then doing another fake run to sync between the two. Then I starred three different activities and did another fake run to force a sync the two together again - nothing!!. :mad::mad:
I've also tried all of the above having completely reset Chrome (ie deleting all cookies, cached passwords etc) and also installed firefox and tried everything though that
Please, please - am I missing anything here?
As I type this I've just realised - Do I need to add the Edge 520 (or 810/1000 etc) to my Garmin account before segments are synced over?
