Hi can anyone help me?
I have an etrex 30. How do I set it to give me continuous position information over the USB connection? I believe this was possible with the older etrex model, you just connected it through the USB serial port, then it streamed continuous gpx data to a serial port like /dev/ttyusb0 under Linux.
With the etrex 30 it mounts a drive, and I can see a file named Current.gpx. But this file is not continuously updated. What I want to do is stream gpx sentences from the etrex 30 to a Linux application continuously. Since a serial USB terminal is not used, I'm guessing this kind of continuous data should be available in one of the files in the mounted drive, question is which one, and what do I need to do to give me this continuous gpx info?
Can anyone help?
Cheers Tim
