First post here and I'm not sure I'm using the right section so please excuse me on that.
Not certain if this can be classified as a Forerunner bug or one against Garmin Connect or not a bug at all.
Anyway, you be the judge on that and maybe forum moderators can correct me and move this to the right section.
But enough foreword...
Just got my Garmin Forerunner 15 running on latest f/w 2.7 using also Garmin Express 4.1.8
I've setup my watch to make use of the metric system hence calculate distance in km.
I synced up the device via Garmin Express and called for Garmin Connect.
I notice that in Garmin Connect under Device > Settings > Run Options and for 'Run Mode Allerts' the pace is "fixed" for min/mi not adjusted to the units I have selected.
Over the device itself now there's no obvious indication if it refers to min/mi or min/km. I presume if it properly reflects my unit selection the value refers to min/km on the device itself.
Another strange thing is that while setting up the pace value via the device the first digit cannot go above 8 (it rotates from 0-8) so I have set this to 08:45 min/? on the device.
On Garmin Connect I'm allowed to go up to 14 from the pull-down menu so here's probably the second discrepancy (first being the units).
But I could be doing something wrong so I would appreciate your support.
I noticed that with a successful sync the values aren't matched. My device has the value 08:45 and while over Garmin Connect I have configured 09:00 I would have expected that a sync will overwrite one value to match the other (either side - I don't know) as a delta sync. I'm note sure if sync is suppose to be bidirectional here or the device has higher priority but even if that was the case neither of the two values alters after a sync.
Any thoughts?
