I have a garmin Echomap 70s.
The maps that came with the unit are at best....basic, at worst ---seriously lacking detail.
The blue chart maps are expensive and also lacking detail such as area names and street information.
This information is very helpful when looking for fuel, food or repair facilities as well as helping in identifying suburbs and rivers in local inland waters.
I have purchased OZTopo for my garmin 64S which work near perfect in the echomap, but I worry that it will be damaged or stolen, and it was not cheap.
What I would like is a map similar to or the same as OSM which would be perfect.
To my point.
Is it possible to get OSM maps that can be used on the Garmin Echomap 70s, or can I modify the OSM to work on my unit?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
