Pairing Fenix 3 with Samsung Galaxy Edge 6 plus

Hi.

Had my Fenix 3 for a couple of months and in that time have paired it successfully to HTC m8 and Galaxy edge. Now have the Edge plus and although the phone seems to think it is paired the watch doesn't. Any ideas?
