Is there any way to disable the automatic software update when connecting an Edge device to Garmin Connect?
I cannot remember the last time I used a physical (USB) connection to Garmin Connect to upload my rides as I simply DO NOT want my software upgraded. I am perfectly happy on V3.5 and if I ever upgrade would actually prefer to use the Web Updater.
A friend of mine was in a similar situation, a perfectly working Edge that became an absoulte bug ridden mess after simply connecting her device to upload some rides. She didn't want it upgraded, but had no choice in the matter and the forum is full of people with issues after having an upgrade "forced" on them.
If this isn't an option, PLEASE Garmin, make it so!
