My own tracks never show up on the heat map. I've been running near the same course three times a week for six months and nothing shows up. I can see tracks by others users all around me. I think I maybe disabled this via a privacy setting when first setting up my device/account, but I've looked though all of the settings and I can't find how this can be changed.
