I just Installed the new OS X 10.11 El Capitan - and since I am facing these two issues:

1 - I can't send new workouts to the device
2 - Can't send the workout to the Calendar

I have Garmin Forerunner 920XT Software: 5.20.0.0
Any Advice

    220 also not working

seems as if the OS X 10.11 has problems with the file system (medium). It will not be mounted. Seems to be an OS X problem rather than a Garmin Connect issue ...

Hm... - I just turned off / on the 220. Now it is detected again, but guess what: all my activities are gone :-( wtf

At least the connectivity seems to work again.

    Nuvi 3597LM Garmin Connect Issues

I am having the same trouble today. Just updated to El Capitan, and now my Macbook Pro won't detect my Garmin Nuvi 3597. I usually use Parallels and export custom POI files from a windows piece of software, but today I can't get either Parallels or my Macbook to recognize the device. Will be watching here to see if there are any reports of successful pairing.

Editing this to add that my ANT USB stick is not being detected either so I can't get data off my Forerunner 910XT - starting to regret updating to Capitan so soon.....

I'm not having any major issues at all but have noticed a peculiarity. I have OS X El Capitan on my Mac. I have Garmin Express installed on my Mac and can connect my Edge 1000 cycle computer to my Mac with no issues - my Edge 1000 also has WiFi enabled and connected. When it's all connected up via USB, I log in to Garmin Connect and make some changes (to Training Zones, for example). I then click on 'Send to Device'. At this point I get a small popup window that says, "Waiting for device to connect".

However, Garmin Express has already woken up on my Mac and performed a sync to my Edge 1000 (which is connected via USB). Afterwards I've checked the device and the new settings are there. So it's clear that Garmin Connect is talking to my Garmin Express on my Mac.

The popup box in Garmin Connect that says 'Waiting for device to connect' mentions enabling WiFi on my device (it's already connected via WiFi). I just click on the X on the popup box to close it.

It seems that there is some comms failure between Garmin Connect and my device or Garmin Express. However, the sync is working fine.

I'm having the same problem with my Forerunner 920xt after upgrading to El Capitan. I was able to get it to show up once. It was mounted under /Volumes/GARMIN but wasn't showing up in the Finder. After cd'ing into it at the command line I was able to see it in the Finder and it was accessible to Garmin Express. However, after syncing a new workout, unmounting it and using it for a run, it is not showing up under /Volumes nor in the Finder anymore.

Update: Shortly after posting this, it now appears to be working. I'm not sure what changed. It does take approximately 20 seconds for the GARMIN disk image to mount and show in the Finder, however.

They might on occasion. If you have a problem best to contact Garmin Support directly.

But, it does seem that it takes longer for disks to mount under OSX 10.11. And that is possibly an OS problem and not a Garmin problem. Once mounted, GE works fine...at least it does for me and the missus.
