Activities - Back to list view from detail view

Hi all,

I'm on the Modern view of Garmin Connect (too cluttered and unstable IMO by the way).

I might just be somewhat clueless but how do I switch back to List View when I am currently on the Detail View of an activity? Clicking back to Dashboard then clicking again the Activity widget seems not too intuitive and is one too many clicks.

Thanks!
Matt

Thanks for the prompt reply! Left Menu -> Activities works fine.

Still, I think it's bad User Experience that there's no link on the Detail View to go "up" to List View.

Activities are similar to mail messages, there has to be an intuitive way to go back to Inbox view after opening a message.

Maybe, but there are several paths that could lead to view an activity. Although the activity inherently belongs to an 'activities list', it is not always logical to go "up" or back to a list.

Yes, that's what the 'Back' button in browser is for :) If the list was where you came from that is... IMO if there was a 'Close' button for the activity view, then it should bring you back to wherever you were before opening the activity, which brings us back to funtionality of the browser Back button.

Agreed but it should take you back to the page you were on in the list, not to the beginning of the list
  • Why don't you show the widget twice on your dashboard. Once in detail and once in list view.
    That's what I do.

I also do that for the 2 views of sleep so I see both movement and quality without toggling.
