Hi there.
I have never used one of these forums before, so hope I'm doing it right. I was out on a work survey last week and ran into a big problem...
Throughout the course of the week, I had taken about 145 waypoints of important environmental features on my Garmin Etrex 10. While busy with a walked transect, I ran out of battery power on my GPS. I subsequently had to finish my transect by taking the batteries out of my Camera and putting them into the GPS. After starting up, when I tried to mark another waypoint, I noticed that absolutely every single one of my saved tracks and waypoints had disappeared from the GPS. Nothing exists in waypoint manager or track manager anymore. If I use the device in Mass Storage mode on the PC, I also see no saved GPX files in the main GPX folder. It's weird though, because if I try marking a waypoint now, it doesn't start at waypoint 001 again... It carries on at 146, 147... etc.
Have I seriously just lost my week's worth of GPS points now? Or is this recoverable in some way?
Please help!
Thanks.
