How can I delete steps and sleep data?

Former Member
Former Member
Good morning everyone,

Just got my first Garmin watch (Forerunner 225) yesterday and created a Connect account.
I have no interest in recording my steps or sleep, so I disabled the option of "Activity Tracking".
Somehow it still recorded 39 steps and 8 sleep hours. :(
How can I delete this unnecessary data? It really bugs me...

Thanks,

Good Morning! I have the same queszion! How can I deletE sleeping data? Anybody can help us! Thx in advance!
  • You can remove those dashboard elements from the website and app.... otherwise i'm not sure why that would bug you if it shows that in some report that you wouldn't see unless you clicked it....

also you could change your sleep hours to be 12:01am to 12:01am (which is where the default 8hrs comes from) I would think....

It is weird that the HR, steps and sleep data isn't very (or at all) editable. You can go back and change your sleep/wake times to trim on the edges. If it says you wake at 8am... you can change it to 7:45 for example (to account for taking watch off before shower). Or in your case you might be able to change it to the same time you went to bed... to make it be zero.
  • I edit my sleep time pretty much every morning while my recollection of how the night went is fresh.
