Calendar: completing workout adds new activty

I set up the workouts for two months in the calendar in connect online then snyced it to my forerunner 225.

When I start my workout I choose Menu-Training-Training Calendar- Today- Do Workout then after the workout I choose save and then sync my watch again via usb to garmin connect.

But instead of linking the results to the workout entry in my calendar it creates a new activity.:mad:

Is this working as intended or am I doing someting wrong?

thx

This is functioning as designed. They are different "profiles" if you will... one being a workout another an activity. It also makes it easier to schedule that created workout at a future date.

    same issue

I've run into the same issue. It doesn't make sense to have a training schedule on the calendar and have no way of ticking off the workouts that have been completed. Is it a design flaw? Or is the device not syncing correctly?

    This.

(Late to the thread, but...) It's crazy that I schedule a workout and upon completing on my device, it syncs as a new activity. What's the point of scheduling the workout?
