New 2.13 version iOS app bugs! (Part II)

Hi Guys,
There are still outstanding issues even after trying the fix described here:
https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?317126-Known-Issues-Solutions-ver-2-13-iOS

I thought it pertainent to start listing the outstanding issues here.
I will compile my particular issues later this eveing but for those of you that have time. Please chime in.
Thanks!
  • Just found a new issue.

I'm not able to sort the widgets from the GCM app on my Epix, i had to do this on the epix it's self.

From the dashboard go to left top three bars
    - Devices
    - "device" in my case the Epix
    - Connect IQ apps
    - Widgets
    - Right top "order" (not sure if this is the correct translation since my GCM is in dutch)

If u hold a item to move it up or down it moves a bit and than drops back on it's old place.
it's the same issue as with the dashboard......

    Can some one verify this?
  • I can verify this. I have the same problem with the dashboard, i can't move the items up or down.
  • Still getting incorrect weather despite deleting, unpairing, reinstalling, and re-pairing.

Quite irritating since the weather widget is my most used widget.

I also have the same issue with the dashboard. It is possible to reorder items but it takes exact timing and A LOT of patience.
  • Garmin- you have BLOWN it on this one .........
Fire whoever worked on this update. Seriously. It is BAD.
I have removed all connections as in the troubleshooting tips, removed the app and then reinstalled.
Now ....... I can't pair my 920XT with my iPhone.
I have tried multiple different ways, reboots, etc....
    What a complete cluster!
For me, it's gone from bad (crippled) to worse ........ I can't even use the app now.
    Wow .......... just wow.

Same here. I have done all those same steps and the weather widget is still showing weather for a different location. GPS satellite connection fixes the issue temporarily (for maybe several minutes) until the weather widget refreshes and the wrong weather once again shows up. Very annoying as I do look at the weather widget a lot also.

I have sent a message to Garmin and they have replied with the following:

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. It seems we have another report and are researching the issue. I have added your information to the case, and we will respond once we have a resolution.
  • Having issues with the new iPhone update too.
Unit was syncing fine manually when I hit upload ride on the Edge 810, now since the update it keeps saying sync fail. Even though you can see it syncing on the app. Also live tracking is working fine so the connection is there.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still the same issue.
  • Stumbled upon a solution to the weather location issue this morning.

I started a Livetrack session and my iPhone immediately asked whether Garmin Connect Mobile could access Location Services. Of course, I selected yes. And for good measure, I went immediately into my iPhone Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Connect > and selected Always.

Previously GCM did not even show up in my list of Apps in Location Services. By starting a Livetrack, it forced it to access Location Services.

Now my fenix 3 weather widget is always displaying the correct weather!
  • You da man! That seems to have gotten connect back into location services!! Thanks!
