Garmin Connect Mobile is no longer visible in Location Services settings

After updating Garmin Connect Mobile (iOS) to version 2.13, it no longer shows up in my iPhone's Location Services settings. As a result, the weather widget on my fenix 3 seems to have the wrong location for weather forecast. It is currently showing a temperature that is approximately 7 degrees C higher than the actual local temperature.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Or, does this require another software upgrade for GCM?
  • Disregard my original post.

I neglected to do one critical step after upgrading GCM. I forgot to connect my fenix 3 to GPS. I just did that and now the weather widget seems to be displaying the weather for my current location.
  • For me, my "solution" was short lived. Connecting to the GPS satellites only seems to be a temporary solution. The weather widget keeps reverting back to the wrong location. And the latest version 2.13 of Garmin Connect Mobile for iOS no longer seems to use Location Services.

    Anybody else seeing this issue?
  • Stumbled upon a solution to the weather location issue this morning.

I started a Livetrack session and my iPhone immediately asked whether Garmin Connect Mobile could access Location Services. Of course, I selected yes. And for good measure, I went immediately into my iPhone Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Connect > and selected Always.

Previously GCM did not even show up in my list of Apps in Location Services. By starting a Livetrack, it forced it to access Location Services.

Now my fenix 3 weather widget is always displaying the correct weather!
