Update v2.13 iOS Crashes after start

After the update my app starts and shuts down immediately.
Restart of device, bluetooth on/off, again pairing of my vivosmart (sw 3.30) doesn't help.
Does someone has the same problems?

Sorry to hear the you are having issues after the update!

We are seeing reports of this and we are currently looking into this. We have found that uninstalling the Connect Mobile application and clearing the cache on the iOS device helps clear this up. To do this you will want to press and hold the Connect Mobile application until the application begins to shake and then pressing the 'x' in the corner of the app icon. After that you will want to press and hold the home button and the power button until the screen turns black and then the Apple logo appears. Once you see the Apple logo you can let go of both buttons and let the phone boot up.

From there you can go into the Apple App store and then download the Garmin Connect Mobile application. You will need to sign back in and then pair your devices back up again.

Please let us know if the cache clear and re-install helped!

I too had the same issues after updating to version 2.13 this morning.
Contacted support and got a email back saying your iPad Air is not a compatible device and hence basically told me in a round about way sorry we're not providing support for that.

Well looking at the App Store it says that iPad is a compatible device and I've had it working on my iPad for about 12 months so I thought that's really good product support.

Then I did the ritual of throwing a few fist thru the wall in frustration... This didn't fix my problem but it did get rid of all my frustrations that I had thru dealing with Garmin support.

Then I had a brain wave and came onto this forum and found this thread. Can I just say I should of just done this to start with cos I conducted the procedure that GCMSupport described above and what do you know it fixed the crashing problem and it's working on my iPad Air..... Maybe someone should tell Garmin support to check their facts before sending emails to product users saying it's not compatible with your iPad...

Any way if anyone else has the above described crashing issue once updating to 2.13 then do what GCMSUPPORT says above and you'll won't have any more problems.
  • fixed my issue with the IOS App

This worked for me, just need to fix the blue tooth pair filler issue now with Edge25 :(

It did not work on my iPhone Xr iOS 13.1.3

  • Why are you replying to a 4 year old thread?

Non of the above worked.  And my Garmin Forerunner 35 does not pair to my iPhone anymore.
