Any updates as to getting the Oregon 600t on Garmin Connect?!?
  • Oregon 600 advertising fraud

This is really embarrasing, Garmin ignores this issue for a few years now and they still did not implemented the support of Oregon into Garmin Connect. Wireless sync would be appretiated.

I might be wrong, but isnt's it a fraud if they still advertise Oregon 600 on their site as Garmin Connect compatible device???!!

    see here: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/on-the-trail/handhelds/oregon-600/prod113532.html#specsTab

Folks from Garmin, will you answer?

    Thank you
  • It is compatible, just like all Garmin handhelds. You can import files from your handheld into Connect. However really your best route is to use Basecamp since Connect is really aimed more at fitness devices.
  • Make Oregon 600 directly supported in Connect

Could you please write down how to import files from my Garmin Oregon 600 into Connect? If you mean by exporting it in Basecamp and manually importing it into Connect...well I would not call it user friendly.

If you suggest using BaseCamp (which is a wonderful application and I use it a lot), is something like implementation of bluetooth wireless import being planned in the future?

The reason why I am frustrated is that I previously owned Oregon 450 and recently switched to Oregon 600, but I was expecting that the bluetooth capabilities of the device will be fully used and implemented in all Garmin apps. If you argue that Connect is aimed more at fitness devices, why are there devices suported like eTrex or GPSMAP 64? Would it be so hard to directly support Oregon devices?

Please advise what to do to make Garmin include Oregon 600 in supported devices in Connect

    Thank you
  • You can import gpx files directly from your device into Connect.

Can´t find Basecamp for IOS or Android Tablets/Phones and Bascamp (Win/Mac) haven´t Blootouth support.
Basecamp Mobile App needs internet connection (very funny without reception) to transfer tracks/routes via bluetooth to Oregon and vanished off since IOS 9.
Garmin Connect App is incompatible with Oregon, by the way you need also internet connection, cant´t transfer tracks with Connect App to device.

Oregon 6x0: Currently you can use the Bluetooth support for nothing

    Hi,

Im new to Garmin and have a Oregon 600 which Im disappointed to find cant sync to the Connect app - most other devices including the cycling units are supported which is a little frustrating. When reading the spec on the web page Im led to believe it will however sync with Basecamp Mobiel yet this app does not seem to be available in iTunes.

Im very confused as I was hoping to sync my walks and rides with Strava in a simple way. Starting up my laptop and copying files around manually is missing the point.

How can the spec page claim I can sync with Basecamp when I cant even access the app - has it been retired or only available in other countries than the UK? https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/sports-recreation/hiking/oregon-600/prod113532.html

I have just undertaken the firmware update (4.8) which was released recently so its clear Garmin are still supporting the unit.

If any has any tips that would be great.

    Nath
