Garmin Connect + IOS + vivofit

Sync Failed - Server error

The problem syncing vivofit with garmin Connect on IOS is really annoying.
Three times in a row and same error.

I am happy not to have live sync between the vivofit and the phone (the way other products from competitor works) but when I decide that I want to sync the data I expect to succed.

This is not a new problem, this problem is not affecting only few Garmin users and is not present only for one of Garmin product or product line.

Is there any plan to change / solve this?

I use vivofit, Forunner 210, Swim and eTrex 30. Lucky me, only vivofit depends on Garmin Connect on IOS.

Is there anyone that is using as sync methond the ANT+ dongle and Garmin Express for vivofit?

Can someone direct me to an official Garmin position regarding Sync Failed - Server error?

    Garmin connect, vivofit & ios working

    I have been using Garmin connect on my Ipad with my Vivofit since July 6, 2015. I synnc a minimum of 4 times a day.
    Morning when I wake from Sleep mode, ( to track Sleep)
    Evening just before Sleep mode (to track steps)
    then twice or more during the day.

    I have only experienced an issue with not Sycing once. and that was because I had the Laptop with the ANT USB nearby. Once I unplugged the USB ANT the Ipod sync'd.

    Also I open Garmin connect on the ipod and leave it open Before I set the Vivofit to Sync.

  • I use Mobile Connect most of the time for my Vivosmart but I use Express and the ANT stick exclusively for my vivofit. I have found it to be very solid. The odd time (maybe once in 2 weeks) when sync fails, I shut down Express and restart it and it's fine.
