No Map Data shown after a run

When I sync my Vivofit after a run and look at the data on Garmin Connect, no map data shows up.

Why is this?

How can I log where I have ran, I use Map My Run as well so thought the GPRS would link through that?

Also, the Connect shows that I have ran further that I actually have, is this because i've not measured my stride length I'm assuming?!

  • Simple: The Vivofit does not have a GPS.

    The Garmin Connect mobile app isn't tracking your position (I don't think it even has the capability), and the Vivofit doesn't have a GPS ... so there's no way for it to know where you've been.

    If you want your run tracked, you will probably have to get an activity tracker that has a GPS (like a Forerunner).
