GC 2.9 and 920xt pairing failed server error?

Wow,

Garmin has really screwed the pooch with this new update. My iphone6 updated GC last night and after update it wouldn't sync from my 920xt. kept getting a server error. Based on other forum posts I read, it sounded like deleting the app, restarting the 920xt and re-installing GC 2.9 would solve the issue so I did just that. Now I can't get my 920xt to pair with GC 2.9 for iOS ? it gets to the "finishing pairing" and errors saying "pairing failed unable to pair your Garmin device Server Error" weird thing is if I leave it on that screen the smart notifications are working on the 920xt? Cancel out of that screen and notifications stop and 920xt shows that it is disconnected? Talk about a bug ridden POS!

Anyone else experiencing these gremlins? Any idea how to fix? Guess it's time to call Garmin in the am?

    Did you resolve this, i am having the same issue my 920xt and iPhone 5s, all was working until recent update. Now have the same symptoms as you described.

    I ended up calling tech support and they had me log into my connect account via web browser @ connect.garmin.com. Once logged on, you will see some icons on the left hand side and one of them, the third from top I believe is actually for syncing. If you look under there, it might show a file or two that didn't sync, mine did! They had me delete any error'd syncs, and try again. Once I did that, everything is back to normal :-). The tech guy also said they will be releasing v2.7 of the 920xt firmware in the next few days that should fix that issue as well as some others.

    I bought my 920xt two weeks ago. All working fine until I updated the software on Friday. Now it's sending notifications but not syncing activities via Garmin Connect or Garmin Express. I can only do it through the web.

    UK support say they don't know about the problem. So now have a new watch that I can use for what I wanted it for. I'm sure I'm reading about this issue on social, so why is Garmin burying its head in the sand. Anyone have any advice?
  • Got the same problem, since the GC mobile update, my 920 doesn't sync activities anymore.... i send them a email, waiting some news...
