BUG: date/time changed when activity name edited, presumarbly due to TZ mishandling

Hello,

I have a Forerunner 620 paired to the iOS app via BT. Both the watch and the Garmin connect profile/site are set to the correct time zone (i.e. GMT+8/Singapore).
Every time I edit an activity name and save the start time of the activity is incorrectly shifted 8 hours ahead.
E.g.:
- this morning I ran at 7:48 (am). The time looks good both on the watch and on the website
- I changed the activity name on the mobile app and saved it (the app does not allow to change date/time)
- the activity time was now set at 15:48. I had to go on the website an manually change it back
- this is consistent; including changing the time of the activity multiple times adds +8 hours every time

    Nope.
    Just checked in my iPhone settings and it's set to "set automatically" for the time.
    I just now finished a ride.
    Auto-uploaded from my Edge 1000 to GC Mobile.
    Time was correct for activity in GC Mobile as long as it was "untitled".
    As soon as I renamed it ........ the time was 5 hours behind.
    Strange!

    And just to be clear, when you renamed it - that was within the GCM app, or GC online?

    Hi Ray. Have this problem too, since November last year. There are many of us unfortunately.

    The issue only happens when you edit the activity in the iPhone app. The initial BT upload is usually fine. The device the activity comes from doesn't seem to matter (for me, FR220 and vivosmart). The problem started suddenly. It's been on both the iPhone 5 and 6 (I upgraded in December). All my software etc are up to date.

    I've sent in numerous emails to their email support address. They haven't even bothered to acknowledge them, other than the standard "we'll get back to you in 3 working days". Disappointing.

    Just to add, editing the activity in mobile Safari is no problem. This is where I now rename my runs and add my shoes, instead of the connect app (which screws up the time when it saves it back to Garmin).

    so this occurs only to bluetooth uploads? this is the case with all of my edge 510 and forerunner 220 activities. when can we expect a fix?

    also, i do not edit my activities, and my start times are incorrect.

    also, when i post to this thread, it adds 5 hours. it is currently 5:39pm eastern, and the time of posted reply says 10:39pm. very odd

    Not directed to you but .............. what is the point of GCM then !!!!!?????

    Still a problem for me. And has been for many months now... I'm fairly new to garmin devices but I now own three watches and expecting my fourth (Fenix 3) soon.

    Garmin - please get a fix in place asap.
