Fnix 2 Syncing errors to mobile Garmin Connect

Here's what it's going on. I connected the device to the phone, it shows connected. It then proceeds to sync. After one or two seconds it says "Sync failed" "server error". I have tried the following, resetting the device, UN-pairing from blue tooth, repairing to bluetooth, reconnecting the device to the app. I have even deleted the app and re-installed the app. I have also tried deleting the history and restarting the device. To no avail I can not get the app to sync with the device.

When a sync fails with a device that holds activity files many times it is caused by a corrupted activity file. To resolve this try the following:
    1. Make sure you are using the latest version of unit software for your device using Express and sync your activities to Connect web.
    2. Backup your activities by connecting your device directly to the computer using the supplied cable or cradle depending on the type of device you own. You can do this by copying all the files in the Activity/Activities folder located on your Garmin device to your computer's hard drive.
    3. Once the files have been successfully saved to your computer, delete them from your Garmin device.
    4. Create a new activity and attempt to sync using the latest version of Garmin Connect mobile. If a corrupted file is the cause the device should now sync without failing.

Archive your files like this and delete them from your device on a regular basis to help avoid this in the future. If you have attempted this and checked to make sure there are no known network problems on our status page I would encourage you to contact us directly to attempt further troubleshooting. There is no end solution. Sometimes it connects and receives the data. If I get a failed sync it typically happens when Garmin is updating the system. I just wait a few days and try again. It's amazing on how much we pay for these devices and there so much connectivity issues related to the Bluetooth.
