Very inaccurate

I received of vivosmart smart as a Christmas gift.I just ran for one hour I had three devices going.I followed all the directions.my other two devices after I ran for an hour was a 5.50 miles.The vivosmart was just over eight miles . I am very disappointed. I guess I am out of 180.00 dollars

Have je adjusted your stride/step length?

I calibrated mine by walking a known (long) distance and the number of steps I needed. You can enter different values for walking and running.

The above proces made mine pretty accurate.
