iPhone 6 Plus and Vivofit not syncing steps

Is this an iOS issue with iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices? My friend who has an iPhone 5s and Vivofit is syncing fine but my new Vivofit and my iPhone 6 Plus won't sync steps. It connects with My Fitness Pal and so far is reading my heart rate. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and that didn't work. Any workarounds or rumors of when a fix might be done? Does Garmin usually work through the Garmin Connect or Express for fixes?

I was hoping this would be better than my Fuelband but so far it's been depressing with the connectivity issue...
  • I am having the same issue, upgraded from iPhone 5 to 6 Plus and Vivofit no longer syncs to the iPhone. I tried re-parining, deleting Connect app and reinstalling and those did not work. I also tried to update the device software to 3.60 via Garmin Express and that is failing. Garmin Express sees the device and gets halfway through the install but then stops and I have to force quit the app or it crashes. Anyone else have this issue?

    Application Specific Information:
    *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidReceivePortException', reason: 'connection is invalid'
    terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
    abort() called

    I had a ton of problems but after the patch was pushed it seemed to correct the issue. I still don't use GE and only GC. *knock on wood* it still keeps working.

    Best of luck getting yours to work. Once it does, it's great!!

    I also have an Iphone 6. Information on my computer is correct, but syncing with MyFitnessPal is not accurate specifically calories burned/used by activity (i.e., computer shows I have more calories to use at the end of the night 200+; MyFitnessPal shows I am over goal). Any help out there?

    Mine just started acting up today. It's not downloading any calories today. Grrrrr...

    I upgraded from iPhone 5 to 6 about 2 months ago and my vivofit was syncing fine until 2 days ago, now the Vivofit won't sync, then I tried deleting the app and re-installing it and now it won't pair.

    How did you resolve this issue? Mine paired to my iPhone6 and worked for 3 days then stopped syncing. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Tried syncing and it doesn't even detect the wristlet. I can sync to my PC and the data shows up from there onto my iPhone but the loss of realtime data is super annoying. Especially only just gotten the device last week. :(

    Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem. I set up and paired my Vivofit last night to the iOS app, but today it says there is no paired device and can't sync, saying "Device Not Found"

    Try toggling bluetooth off and on then wait a minute or 2. That often solves it for me when I have connectivity issues. If that doesn't work, try rebooting the phone.
