Garmin's CSR admitted that Garmin's servers are unable to move data from Garmin Express on desktop computers to their Garmin Connect website. She recommended using the Garmin Connect Mobile on a phone to upload vivofit data. My wife is doing that now with her new iPhone5, but the app DOES NOT WORK on older iPads or iPods. The app will install on older iPads, but will not connect to vivofit. The app won't complete installation on older iPods, even after 12 hours.
I'm not a litigious person, far from it. This is a classic example of false advertising. Claim your device will sync on Windows and Mac desktops or smartphones, sell thousands to innocent customers, watch them struggle to sync data and stall with vague error messages, then admit in CSR calls that Garmin's own servers and apps don't work. Instant class action lawsuit.
Hundreds of Lifetime Fitness customers are buying vivofits for the 10K and 90 day Challenges and not connecting or syncing, Lifetime Fitness trainers sitting on the phone begging Garmin for solutions, not a good situation!
