    Same problem here, shows as imperial but is set to show as metric. Quite an irritating bug.

    Have you tried changing it in the website as well?

    connect.garmin.com/modern/
    -> Head icon
    -> View Profile
    -> Edit Profile
    -> Display Preferences
    -> Measurement Units:
    Set to Metric

    I've got it set to Metric throughout now.

  • 7 years later, I am having similar troubles with the same situation. I have change everywhere possible in the config to metric but the face of my watch still shows miles and yards. I have a Swim 2

  • The only thing you need to do to fix the units on the watch is this: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/garminswim2/EN-US/GUID-F53E6A73-0AA3-477B-BC6E-B0ECD2CE92D8.html

    1. From the watch face, hold UP.
    2. Select  > System > Units.
    3. Select Statute or Metric.

    Didn't that work?

    If it doesn't work it might the watchface that got issues with handling of units or that it got its own settings for that. Check the watchface settings or switch to a different watchface.

  • I have already tried all the variants of this process (from the watch, phone app, webpage) it is only in the watch face that it does not change, I have also tried to change the watch face and go back to the swim 2 original watch and it did not help either. Maybe it is a bug in the latest watch face update.
