Finix 2 won't pair using Bluetooth

(The app and watch are updated to the latest firmware.)

I can't connect to the iOS mobile app to upload my workouts. It does connect for notifications, but not the Garmin app.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you add the device within the app? In the top left there is a menu and then you could click on devices to add your watch.

Another option could be that your sync settings are set "manual" in the settings menu of your watch. Go to "Menu -> Settings -> Bluetooth -> Connection".

Let me know if this works :)

Thanks for your response. When I try to add the device within Garmin mobile it gets to the pairing page, and I get "Pairing Failed, Unable to pair your Garmin device. Server error.". I tried your suggestion to manual pair it w/ the same results. It shows "sync in progress" on the watch, but nothing happens in Garmin Connect.

    Hmm, that's strange...

Does the watch sync when it is connected via usb to your computer?
And do you have the latest firmware version (2.4)?
  • Hi There,
I'm getting a very similar issue- notifications work fine but can't for the life of me get the Fenix 2 to sync with Garmin Connect App!!
As with initial post I've connected the watch in bluetooth settings fine but when I sync (both manual and automatically) nothing comes through and I get the following page when I try to 'pair' within the app:

I've tried this on on iPhone 5s and a Retina iPad mini with the same result. (Both running iOS 7.1 and the watch is on latest 2.4)

I've also tried "forget this device" several times on both devises, deleting and re-installing Garmin Connect App and creating a new Garmin connect account- all yield the same result!

    Transfer works fine Garmin Express..

    Any thoughts??
    Cheers

    Hey there,

Here's what ended up working for me.. I discovered this out through help in another thread. I ended up deleting all my workouts, and reset the iPhone and the watch. It has paired up via BT w/ the Garmin app perfectly since. I must have had a corrupted file somehow. I think it might have came from a workout I did w/ the last firmware version.

    Hope this helps!
  • That did the trick for me too, many thanks! Looks to be the same issue as on the sticky for 510/810... Looking forward to testing it with a 'real' activity in the morning;-)
    Cheers

I'm glad it worked for you too!! I uploaded a 1.5 hr outdoor run yesterday w/o any issues. It's kind of slow, but it's expected w/ BT.

    Enjoy!
