Wahoo app | upload Garmin Connect

After the update ... #%^*$@# its not possible to upload with a wahoo ANT-key/ app to Garmin Connect, with an iPad. Why does Garmin not make an ANT-key solution to upload a Garmin 910 to Connect! Thanks
  • I agree that garmin appears to be very behind on seamlessness between garmin and apple. I can't even log on to website to add new workouts on my ipad. I understand that the garmin 910 won't connect but at least allow us to connect to website via ipad, and then sync with pc at a later date.

On a plus strangely my vibrate mode stopped working but has now restarted to work!
  • Did anybody fix it?

Did anybody manage to upload from Wahoo Fitness to Garmin Connect?
  • No. I wrote to wahoo about month ago or more that there is problem they said that probably garmin has limited something and they will check this. Today new wahoo application is available and in update info it says that garmin is no longer accepting uploads from non garmin devices.

Now I am angry... if garmin will no change their policy my next wearable will be from other company. I still hope that they will support fully apple health, and all data will be exported and more important imported.
  • As I understand it Garmin will accept files in .tcx, .fit or .gpx format from any source. All Wahoo etc have to do is to provide a file in the correct format. Oh wait, why would they do that because then you will not buy their devices but stick with Garmin.

When you are looking to mesh different companies products you have to take what they say about each other with a pinch of salt. Why shouldn't they protect their own turf?

And as for the bulk export of files from Garmin Connect? I have virtually all my activity files going back to my FR305 saved. There has always been a way to capture and save the recorded files. So I have and continue to do so with my 920. There is a possible workaround though involving porting everything over to Strava and bulk exporting from there. Something you might be able to do from other sites too.
