*FIXED: Activities List Issue (GCM v2.0)

Former Member
For those of you experiencing issues regarding viewing your Activities List (only seeing three (3) activities, being redirected to "Go to Getting Started" or https://connect.garmin.com/help/start, etc.), a fix is currently in the works. We are submitting a build to Apple that should fix this problem. This update will be released once it has gone through Apple's approval process, which typically takes around 24-72 hours.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
  • who knows ?

Garmin currently have many, many competing companies snapping at their heels offering both software and hardware solutions for the fitness market space. I still think their hardware solutions are still better that the competition BUT their software solutions are TERRIBLE. As soon as the somebody releases a good hardware solution for running/cycling then I think it's game over for them in fitness products.

Could not agree more, the thing is there is already a better hardware solution with a large colour screen, it is called my iPhone!!
If the next version of the iPhone has a better battery life (because GPS apps currently suck the battery and I might need to use it as a phone at some point!) and if it is waterproof then why would I need a Garmin.

I'm sorry to hear that some of you are still experiencing this issue despite the 2.0.1 update release. We haven't been able to duplicate this any further in-house.

PZAMORAN, S_ORANGE, DARNBY: If any of you would be willing to share your account info with us, we'd be happy to look into your account to figure out what's going on. If interested, please send me a private message with your account/login info at your earliest convenience.
  • Hi

My GC username is the same as my forum username

what other information do you need ?
  • here's a clue - read my original guess as to the nature of the problem - nothing to do with my Garmin Connect settings

notice that steveuk71 is probably called steve, was born in 1971 and LIVES IN THE UK....just like me - dunno where pzamoran lives but I bet it's not in the US either.

he probably doesn't have his date set to the American standard eg today is 10/3/2014 not the 3rd of October 2014 - he might even have 12hour time on.

you really need to sack your app development team if they haven't realised that many of your users are NOT IN THE US and don't adhere to US date format

    MUST TRY HARDER.

by the way I'll be sending my consultancy invoice to garmin

    What a guess :D :D :D

Mr Orange, the good news for me is v2.0.1 of the App works fine for me and I am in the UK and have lots of activities.
If Garmin are offering to look at your account / activities to help fix a problem they can't re-create then it might be worth your while - just a thought.

    Lost all activities with update

I lost all activities after this update. Pretty disappointed. I expect things to get better with an update not worse. My username is same as here.
  • hi steve - the point is that the problem is with the phone settings NOT the account. And it is their testing strategy at fault.

try setting your phone to 12hour time format - UK time format (something I suspect they haven't bothered to do). Breaks it every time for me.

Every bit of software from the app devs and every bit of firmware from the hardware team is like this......really badly tested and really badly written.

And this thread title still says FIXED when it obviously isn't, showing that not only can they not develop software, the also have no idea how to release it or maintain any kind of bug list.

Had the same problem as everyone here but your note made me try resetting the time format on my iPhone 5 to 24 hour format. Problem solved! Still, pretty poor form from Garmin for letting that be an issue.

Reset my time format to 24 hour format and problem solved too! Reset it back to am/pm format and activities disappeared again. So in order to see all the activities I will have to use my iPhone in 24 hour format although I prefer am/pm format. Pretty poor from Garmin!
