Garmin Connect data inconsistency is getting ridiculous**

Is anyone else seeing different numbers between the Garmin Connect homepage Essential widgets and the actual detailed pages?

I’m using a Garmin CIRQA, and this happens especially with Body Battery and Training Readiness. The homepage shows one number, then I tap the widget and the detailed page shows something completely different. Even after syncing and refreshing, they don’t always match.

Which number are we supposed to trust?

I’ve already escalated this to Garmin Support, but nothing seems to be happening. Where are the Garmin developers? How does an app designed around health and fitness data fail to display the same data consistently across its own pages?

What the /// Garmin Connect becoming?

  • That's actually by design - the glances show in many cases (though there are exceptions) the live data in real-time, while the detailed screens show data already synced to the cloud. After syncing, they should be mostly more or less equal (unless the live value already changed again). If syncing does not help, then there may be a syncing problem (net busy/slow, data file corrupted, ...). It could be also a bug in the firmware of the device, of course too - it may be worth of asking on the subforum for Cirqa, to see whether other owners see similar discrepancies after syncing. For me personally, using an Instinct 3 watch, it works as designed.

  • Hi, I really doubt this is simply “by design.” The issue is the lack of consistency and transparency in the data.

The strange part is that as soon as I open Garmin Connect on the web, everything can suddenly sync again and the numbers change. Sometimes it’s even worse and completely different values appear.

Also, check Reddit. A lot of CIRQA and Garmin users are reporting the same kind of inconsistencies, so I’m definitely not the only one experiencing this.

At this point I genuinely don’t know which data is supposed to be correct. If the homepage, detailed pages and web version are all showing different numbers, something clearly isn’t working properly.

And that’s without even getting into Garmin Connect itself, which in my opinion has become a horrible app experience.

That's why I wrote, it could also a bug in the way Cirqa syncs, and that you should check the Cirqa subforum. For me it works exactly as specified in the documentation - glance showing the live data in real-time, and detailed screens showing the data after the last sync. I do not own Cirqa, so cannot comment on it.
