Garmin Connect needs to evolve into a truly connected ecosystem

Here's a version that is constructive, detailed, and more likely to be taken seriously by Garmin staff and other users.

Garmin Connect needs to evolve into a truly connected ecosystem

I've been a WHOOP user for the last four years and recently switched to Garmin because I genuinely believe Garmin has the best hardware on the market. However, after spending time with Garmin Connect, I feel the software is falling behind what the hardware is capable of.

This isn't a complaint. It's feedback from someone who wants Garmin to become the best health platform available.

Some areas that I think deserve attention:

1. AI Assistant
Garmin Connect should have a real AI assistant that remembers the user's long-term context, such as goals, supplements, medications, injuries, blood work, habits and routines. Instead of only displaying graphs, it should explain trends, answer questions and provide personalized insights.

2. Everything should work together
Sleep, Body Battery, HRV, stress, recovery, workouts, nutrition, habits and future biomarkers should all influence each other. Right now many features feel isolated instead of being one connected ecosystem.

3. Better habit and journal analysis
Logging habits is useful, but Garmin should also tell users which habits improve or reduce recovery, sleep and performance over weeks and months. The value is in the analysis, not just the logging.

4. Blood test integration
Allow users to upload blood test results and biomarkers. It would be incredible to see how ferritin, vitamin D, testosterone, cholesterol and other biomarkers relate to sleep, recovery and training over time.

5. Strength training
This is probably the area that needs the most work. Creating workouts is more complicated than it should be, exercise management could be much smoother and post-workout analysis feels basic. Garmin has all the data, but the experience needs to be modernized.

6. Better insights
Don't just tell me I slept 7 hours. Tell me why my recovery changed, what likely caused it, what habits contributed and what I should focus on next.

7. Modern UI
Garmin Connect has improved over the years, but it still feels like an app built around data pages rather than insights. I would love a cleaner interface where everything important is easier to find and understand.

I know not everyone wants AI features, and that's completely fine. These could simply be optional. But I think Garmin has a huge opportunity, especially with CIRQA launching, to build the smartest health and fitness ecosystem on the market.

The hardware is already exceptional. Now it's time for the software to match it.

I'm curious what features everyone else would add if Garmin were to redesign Connect.
