update: seems to have been fixed in today’s iOS App update that was fast!

(Fixed!) Bug + Workaround: GPX Export to Garmin not working ]
Hi, I ran into a bug today and did some troubleshooting. I found two workarounds, hope this helps someone who is on the road... It seems the bug is with Garmin BTW, not with Komoot.
System: iOS with Garmin Connect. Garmin Edge 1040.
Issue: When importing a GPX file into Garmin connect, the import worked, but when pushing the "send to device" button, I ran into the error message:
No compatible devices. You do not have any Garmin Devices that support courses.
Solution 1: This only occurred (for me) with Komoot tracks that are NOT round trips (i.e. have a start point and end point that are not the same). Therefore, you can add a few points at the end, make it a round trip, and do the import of the GPX into Garmin Connect as usual.
Solution 2: Use the web interface of Garmin Connect on a phone browser, or on a computer to import the GPX. This works also with tracks that are not round trips, so you do not have to change your original track in this instance. This might be better if you use things like power guide or don't want to mess with your route. Note: You do not have to open Garmin Connect (the app) at the prompt at the end. You can open it later, once you want to sync. The App will pull the info from Garmins servers.
Info: I reproduced this with very short GPX files, in which I could not find a difference in the editing with a comparison tool. Furthermore, there is no difference in syntax in a GPX file that has "round trip" enabled in Komoot. A possibility is that Garmin does not like when the first and last coordinate are not close to each other. Besides that, I'm not sure what is wrong in the Garmin iOS App. Probably a bug.
Additional info:
> Can you reproduce it if you export a GPX track that is point-to-point from Garmin and then use that as a course?
Yes I can! Funny. Details: I looked for an old point to point course in my Garmin courses on Connect, that one still exports to my Edge 1040 on my phone. I then exported that to GPX with the Web Interface, and imported that GPX again, and voila, I cannot send it to my Garmin anymore...
