Feature Request: Can't associate gear collection with custom activity

The new gear collection feature is great. However there is one thing missing for me. I'd like to be able to associate certain gear (collections) with custom activity types. Currently it only allows to do it for the activity types that come with the watch. A little bit more freedom here would be great.

    There are no custom activity types in Garmin, so it is not surprising you cannot assign any gear to the. Respectively, there is only one custom activity 'Other:other' and that one can be associated with a gear.

    You probably mean custom activity profile names, but those have nothing to do with activity types. What you can do, though, is turning on the gear prompt in the activity profile settings (assuming you own a watch model supporting the on-device gear selection).

    Already doing that, thanks. And yes, by custom activity type I mean a copy of a stock activity type with a different name/settings.
