Garmin workout weight progression and benchmark exercises

Hello there,

I’m continuing to adapt my gym routine for use with Garmin, and I’m running into a few more issues. When I set the weight in a routine, it doesn’t reflect my progress over time. For example, even when I log a higher weight, the watch continues to suggest the initial amount the next time instead of the updated one.

From my understanding, this can be resolved by using benchmark exercises: Garmin updates the benchmark, and the workouts then follow that progress. However, I don’t see any benchmark exercises related to triceps work or lateral raises.

How do you resolve this problem? Is it possible to create custom benchmark exercises?

P.S.: I've seen topics from the few years ago, but maybe there are some changes since then?
